Rich Battaglia has been delighting Inwood Coffeehouse audiences with his vocal, instrumental and comedic talents for over a dozen years as a member of Profusion, Inwood's house band. With his group Fat Chance, he brings together friends from the Garrett Park Musicians Collective who have been playing together in various combinations since 2003. Their first show at Garrett Park Town Hall was in the midst of a power outage caused by Hurricane Isabel. Since then the Collective has taken Garrett Park by storm with more than forty Garrett Park Coffeehouses.
With a trio of guitars, harmonica, percussion, and 5 vocalists, Fat Chance performs an eclectic music mix from modern folk to old time rock and roll. They will be featuring songs from this millennium and the last covering tunes from artists such as The Decembrists, John Hiatt, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, Buddy Holly, Bruce Springsteen, Donovan, and Eddi Reader.
