Multi-instrumentalist and singer, Lon Ephraim has worked in recording studios from L.A. to Nashville. Lon has used his skills as an arranger, musician and producer for many local performers. He received a Parent’s Choice Gold Award for writing and arranging the music for the children’s cd, Doo-zees and Don’t-zees. He has backed up Bob Hope, Della Reese, and Eartha Kitt among other stars. Lon has played with many jazz artists including Al Cohn, Pete Cristelieb as well as performing with the Smithsonian Jazz Orchestra. |
Alexander Mitchell, a Berklee College of Music graduate, is an acoustic multi-instrumentalist who started playing fiddle after hearing bluegrass music. Since then he has been cultivating such diverse styles as Appalachian, bluegrass, Celtic, Klezmer, traditional roots dance music, ballroom, sizzling hot swing and jazz. |
Tony Nalker is currently the pianist and group leader of the U.S. Army Blues, the premiere jazz ensemble of the U.S. Army. He routinely plays for the highest levels of our government and military and has performed in several USO tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. As a member of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra he recently traveled to Russia, Ethiopia, and Kenya on diplomatic outreach tours on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. |
From 1988 until his retirement in 2014, Paul Henry was the bassist for the Airmen of Note. Paul can be heard on many recordings, playing various styles. He has performed with Peter Erskine, Randy Brecker, James Moody, Doc Severinson, Jon Faddis, George Benson, Diane Schuur, Dave Liebman, Nicholas Payton, Pat Martino, Slide Hampton, Paquito D’Riverra, Joey Defransesco, Al Jarreau, Kirk Whalum, Allen Vizzutti, Butch Miles, the New York Voices, and many others. |
