Versatile violinist Susan Jones plays styles ranging from classical to jazz, with many stops along the way including rock, country, klezmer and mariachi. She has brought her classical music to Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the National Gallery of Art Terrace Cafe. Her jazz venues include the One Step Down, the Corcoran Jazz Series and Blues Alley. Over the years she has found herself on stage with the Kennedy Center Orchestra, saxophonist Andrew White, pop artists Barry White, Dion Warwick, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Bob Abbott is a freelance bass player, composer, and arranger in the Baltimore / Washington area. He regularly performs with Seth Kibel's Dixieland All Stars, Susan Jones Ensemble, The Bay Jazz Project, Christian Josi, and Phillip Nelson. He has been seen playing at venues such as the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and Blues Alley. Bob is equally at home in the recording studio and has recorded with several bands and ensembles including Michael and the Little Professors, The Bay Jazz Project, The Folk Heroes, Kindred Spirits, The Good News Sound, Susan Jones and Seth Kibel, and for independent film sound track recordings for New York City composer Tim Starnes. |
Tom Jones performs throughout the Washington DC area playing drums and percussion at such venues as Ford's Theater, Wolf Trap, and the National Theater. A timpanist with the Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra and a percussionist with the 20th Century Consort and the National Symphony Orchestra, he has been performing at the Kennedy Center since its opening in 1971. When Tom appears with the Susan Jones Quartet, he plays a 1972 Gretsch drum set. |
