Based in Silver Spring, Maryland, Karen Ashbrook and her husband, Belgian multi-instrumentalist Paul Oorts play a wide range of traditional music from Europe. Karen brings Celtic music to the duo and Paul brings rare 17th and 18th century music from Belgian and French manuscripts he transcribes. They perform around the country for concerts, dances and festivals and have several CDs on the Maggie's Music label.
